Project ideas for Spring!

Project ideas for Spring!

Do you need some inspiration? I've got it for you! We've been getting some new yarn in the store and we have some new shop samples that we made with those yarns that I want to share with you. It's always fun to see the yarn made up into something, so you can see what it looks like. AND I found some other fun ideas for projects you can make now.

First up, one of our shop sample knitters made the Elliana Tee. It is a pretty top with elbow length sleeves and an all-over lace pattern. The pattern calls for Brighton Beach from Queensland, which is a linen and cotton blend yarn. We love how light and drapey the fabric is. You can wear this top all summer long. The pattern is free with the purchase of the yarn.

Next up, is Horizon from Yumi Alexander. Another one of our sample knitters made a shop sample of this top in Giardino from Louisa Harding. This pretty yarn is a self-striping, chainette construction that is a cotton-blend yarn. The colors are so beautiful and it looks great in this simple top. The pattern is available in the store and on Ravelry.

The Linea Tee is simple but uses stripes to great effect. Zooey from Juniper Moon Farms is perfect for this light, summery top. The linen and cotton blend of the yarn will make this top drapey and soft. Perfect for summer! The pattern is available in the store and on Ravelry.

The Seaside Tee by is another cute top with stripes. I love how simple this top is. You could wear it anywhere. I think it would be perfect in Shoreline Sport from Sea Change Fibers. The wool, silk and linen blend of Shoreline Sport is surprisingly perfect for summer tops and tees. The pattern is available in the store and on Ravelry.

Toni Lipsey recently released the Luther Top and I have never wished I was a better crocheter more. This top is so cute! I love that it has a kind of retro feel and the collar is perfect! Shoreline Sport would be perfect for this project as well or you could use Pima Soft from Berroco. I hope one of our crocheters will make this! The pattern is available in the store and on Ravelry.

The Popsicle Socks from Veera Välimäki is such a fun and cute project. You'll want a solid color and then 5 mini skeins in different colors for these socks. We have Malabrigo Sock minis and Uni Merino Minis -- so there are plenty to choose from! You could use Uni Merino or Tributary Stream Sock for your main color. The pattern is available in the store and on Ravelry.

Finally, I have to share a pattern for shorty socks. I made a pair for myself last spring and I wore them all summer. The No Fear Shorty Socks is a straightforward pattern. You'll be able to whip out a pair of these really quickly. We recently received a new yarn called Summer Socks Fancy yarn that is a cotton blend, variegated yarn that would be perfect for these socks.  The pattern is available in the store and on Ravelry.

Finally, just a quick note. A sweet customer asked me recently what she could do to support my store in addition to shopping with me. I mentioned that it really helps when people "like" and comment on our social media posts. The algorithm likes engagement. So I wanted to ask that if you see our posts, if you could like or comment on them we would really appreciate it. It is a really simple thing you can do to support us. Thank you so much!
