A Year of Sweaters 2027

A Year of Sweaters 2027

We're doing it again! Join us for a year-long knitting adventure in 2027! Together, we’ll knit four sweaters over twelve months. Each sweater has a different style of stitch, so you can practice stranded colorwork, Intarsia, slipped stitches and steeking! You can choose which of the four sweaters you want to make—knit all four or select just the ones that inspire you most.

In January, we'll start the Gytha pullover by Amy Gunderson. This all-over colorwork sweater will give you a chance to get comfortable with stranded-colorwork. The pattern calls for Patagonia Organic Merino, so that is what I'm recommending as well. We have a new yarn arriving in the store that I think will also work. I'll add more about that soon. If you want to make this sweater, please register for the class here.

We'll start Sweater #2 in April. We will make the Make Myself Flowers vest. This vest uses the Intarsia technique to make the large flowers. I'll share yarn info. and the dates for the classes in February.

Sweater #3 we will start in July. We'll make Vellichor from Andrea Mowry. This top uses slipped stitches and 2 colors of yarn to make the pretty stitch design.

Finally for Sweater #4 we'll make Hirne by Kate Davies. This cardigan has a pretty design on the yoke. For this sweater you'll learn how to knit and cut a steek! That is where you cut open your sweater after knitting it in the round. Exciting!

I hope you'll join us on this knitting adventure.
